Don Powell was standing on Peterborough station in December 2018 on his way to a gig when his legs gave way. The big Slade drummer crumbled to the ground, unaware the tendons in both knees had snapped. As he was rushed to a hospital, a thousand miles from his Danish wife and home, his mind rewound to an accident 45 years earlier.
