IT WAS a Christmas present from beyond the grave, a final gift from Elton John’s recently departed dear friend Freddie Mercury. And it reduced the Rocket Man to tears. As his voice cracked with emotion, and a respectful hush fell over the audience, Elton told how he had been still reeling from the death of the Queen frontman the previous month.
