Acclaimed Nigerian writer Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie delivered a keynote address at the United Nations General Assembly Hall in New York on Friday, August 19th as part of series of events marking the celebration of World Humanitarian Day.
The mother of one, decked in a lovely dress by Nigerian designer Gozel Green, received a rousing welcome as she was invited to the stage. In their speeches, Ms Adichie, along with Mohammed Assaf, the UNRWA Goodwill Ambassador and 2012 Arab Idol Winner who is a former refugee, Game of Thrones star Natalie Dormer and Leslie Odom Jr, inspired people from around the world to take action for humanity in the face of challenges of increasing humanitarian crisis.Popular Posts
